Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions for Cherry Tree Cottages
Reservations are considered as short term holiday rentals and are not subject to any other form of tenancy agreement. By payment and receipt of our confirmation email, all guests will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to the conditions below.
The rental contract is subject to the following conditions;
- PAYMENT
For all On-line or direct bookings, by phone or email, we ask for full payment in order to confirm the booking.
All payments to be made in UK pounds sterling for the sum stated on the booking email. We accept payment by BACS bank transfer. For international and card payments, we accept payments by Paypal.
- BREAKAGES and DAMAGE
Please notify us of any minor breakages. Payment for minor breakages is at your discretion. Please note that any damage over £50 will need to be paid for by the client.
- CANCELLATION
Any cancellation by the client for whatever reason must be made in writing as soon as possible.
We have a firm cancellation policy. We will give a full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. Then 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. There will be no refund after that.
For longer term bookings, (more than 4 weeks), guests will receive a full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If a guest cancels during the booking, they will pay 100% for all nights spent, plus 20 additional nights. If fewer than 20 nights remain on the reservation, the guest will pay 100% for the remaining nights.
If you have paid the full balance of the holiday and have to cancel, and on the basis that we find alternative guests to cover the same days, we will refund the equivalent balance paid. However, this is solely at our discretion.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any insurance you purchase is adequate for your needs. Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement is a legal contract.
- CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY US
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
- PETS
Well behaved pets are welcome at no extra charge. Please note however, that pets must not be left unattended in the cottage. We would kindly request that pets are not permitted on the furniture or beds.
- SMOKING
We have a strict no smoking policy.
- CHILDREN
All children are welcome. However, they must be supervised at all times. The garden is rough and wild, and there are rocks and exposed wall edges which could be hazardous for small children
Walls around the cottage garden and indeed the local area are made of stone which can be sharp or loose. Please be aware and don’t climb any walls.
- PROPERTY CARE
We allow an extra day between visitors for enhanced Covid cleaning. We respectfully ask that you leave the cottage clean and tidy, (as you find it).
- PARKING
There is off-road level parking for one car adjacent to each cottage. Parking is at your own risk.
- RECYCLING and ENERGY SAVING
We hope you will join us in recycling your glass, plastic, food and household waste – details at the property. We request that guests are energy conscious and water conscious too wherever possible.
