At Cherry Tree Cottages, we have two warm traditional stone cottages, set in two acres of natural heather and woodland garden, with extensive views over the South Pennine countryside. We are in a beautiful country location, just 15 minutes from both Halifax and Huddersfield, with easy access to all West Yorkshire towns and attractions.
Our two cottages, Cherry Tree Cottage and Heather Bank Cottage are awarded Four Stars by VisitEngland.
Both our cottages are pet friendly. Dogs are welcome, and there are wonderful footpath and bridleway walks right from the doorstep.
We offer complete flexibility on bookings. Reservations may start on any day, with a minimum stay of 3 days.
We live adjacent to the cottages in the main house, Cherry Tree House, and are usually at home to welcome you and help with any queries. We will make sure that the cottage is warm and ready for you when you arrive.
Since the cottages are next to each other, they are ideal for holidaying with friends or family. You can book the cottages singly, or both together.

This one-bedroomed cottage has been converted from a 19th Century stone barn, retaining the natural stone walls and timber beams, and has a quiet outlook over our woodland garden. The cottage has level access, with ground floor bathroom and bedroom.
Your Host Elaine
We are keen walkers and cyclists ourselves, and can point out the best routes. There are good footpath and moorland walks direct from the doorstep.
- It was a wonderful experience to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and stay at Heather Bank Cottage. The location is fantastic with stunning views of the Yorkshire countryside and large gardens in which we were able to sit and enjoy the warm weather. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Alastair and family, London
- We were really comfortable in the cottage. It was very well looked after and had loads of character. Stan and Elaine have been really sympathetic to the original stone features. We loved the wild yet meticulously maintained garden that is surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful scenery. The children loved the hammocks. Bex and family : West Sussex
- Cherry Tree has been our home for a week, but I could happily have stayed indefinitely. The cottage is ideal for dogs, with the shady garden accessible at all times, and superb views over the valley. Elaine and Stan made us welcome, with strawberries from the garden. This was an exceptional holiday and we would unreservedly recommend staying at Cherry Tree Cottages. : Hilary, Roger and Phoebe : Leicester
